On Friday evening, 200 heavily-armed gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram members, invaded the Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.
During the attack, 12 soldiers, 4 policemen, and 4 civilians were killed, according to Vanguard.
In addition, over 50 of the terrorists were reportedly killed, as ground troops and Airforce fighter jets battled the attackers.
The insurgents were said to have launched the invasion as a “revenge mission” against the police and military.
This is really tragic. Our hearts are with the families of the soldiers and policemen who were killed.
