5 Factors for Recovering Your Search Engine Rankings after Suspension

  • As you all know, ranking well on Google search engine requires much work from your side; you need to write great contents, you need to provide your users great experience in your copy, you need to make sure that your post is of high value to everyone that come visiting the web page, you need to share your posts with social media friends for engagement; anything lesser than this won’t help you at all! but with all these things being put in place, some websites were still ranking poorly on search engine pages due to one or two things that’s unknown to the site webmaster.

In this post I shall be talking on these things in order to help your blog get back to its actual position and reclaim your position for better search engine positioning.

Here are the things that might cause your website to rank lower in search engine pages and necessary steps to take for correcting the problem:

    1. Too Many Crawling Errors

Having as many errors on your website would certainly influence your search engine ranking position badly and you must take action against it before time went by. Take it or leave it, crawling errors is one of the major reasons why your web pages ranks poorly!

Google does make sure that it delivers the best to its searchers and that’s why they spend large amount of money in improving the Webmaster Tools page for better web management by webmasters like you and me – it is highly advisable that you pay a visit to the webmaster page for help on how your site ranks.

In your webmaster tool crawl error page, you will find the lists of pages that Googlebot finds uneasy to access for your corrections – after correcting the errors on that page with the suggestions from Google, you can take action to resubmit the page for reconsideration or wait for the next crawl to get the page indexed again but you should note that getting such page back on Google is not a guarantee by Google, you just have to do the right thing at the right time.

    2. Robot.txt files blocking GoogleBot

You may not know that this matters when it comes to search rankings but you have to know that that your website is being de-indexed from Google search pages. Recently, I experienced this on one my website pages that talks on the pros and cons of automated seo services and the tips shared here are what I implemented to get back my rankings.

Google de-indexed the page and I have to check for things I have done wrong to get that treatment until I found a video published by Matt Cutts of Google Webspam team that talks on it exactly and now, my site page is ranking well on Google after the implementation of the tips I’m sharing here.

    3. Not Redirecting Your Page Properly

Moving your website page to an entire different url in negative way could also caused the particular page to rank poorly on search pages. The reason being that, the page will turn to a 404 page in lieu of offering your readers the information they requested for.

In order to avoid losing your visitors because of moving from one url to the other, it is SEO-wise that you should use 301 redirects (“RedirectsPermanent”) for the site or web page in question with your website .httaccess file. Using the .httaccess file will help your smartly redirect users, Google bots and spiders to the new page without losing visitors, rankings and authority of the page.

    4. Bad Website Structure

Structuring your website for search engine bots and real visitors must not be taken care with neglect. You need to make sure that your site is in accordance to Google webmasters guidelines for website structure.

Google bots can’t read in-text contents in HTML, images, DHTML, or other rich media such as the Silverlight which is made with Microsoft code; these types of contents, Googlebots and other bots may have challenge crawling them if they are on your site.

    5. Not Submitting Your Sitemap Regularly

It is of great benefit if you have good sitemap submission plans in place for your website. Submission of your website sitemap will help search bots to see necessary pages on your website and respect them accordingly. With that in place, those pages can get ranked and indexed faster with the help of your sitemap submission.

However, it is not highly encouraged that you should be submitting your website sitemap frequently because it can have negative impact on your blog or website. Do this thing often and not much and you will get good result.

Ebola victims isolated In The Lagos State Quarantine centre lacks care - Family Members

  • Friday, 15 August 2014

  • "Very sad. We did a lot to save her. She complained oxygen was being supplied to only the big wigs there and we sent two yesterday. 8 cylinders more were on their way today before she died. We made sure water was reconnected in the facility after it went off, and we increased pressuring the govt. We wrote to the minister and introduced a researcher on nano silver.

They made contact and ordered it. The drug was ordered from US and is also on its way with a doctor and will arrive today. I was so sure she was going to scale through. It's heartbreaking. I'll send you more info later" a
source close to those who had access to Justina Ejelonu before her death told Myne Whitman.
    Read more  below

As the number of fatalities from the Ebola virus in Nigeria increased to four with the death of Justina Ejelonu, the unsatisfactory situation of the  patients and suspected cases in isolation is beginning to come to light.
Relatives and  colleagues of a  female medical doctor and other health workers who contracted the Ebola virus from Liberian Patrick Sawyer, called journalists for a press conference in Ikoyi, Lagos and disclosed how the victims are left in horrible conditions and not properly taken care of.
Boyo-Ekwueme, a pathologist, and one of the concerned relatives painted a picture of utter neglect of the female doctor and her medical colleagues who have been placed in isolation at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Lagos (IDH).
The pathologist who claimed to have been to the IDH in company with other family members and professional colleagues alleged that the Ebola patients were not being properly looked after.
Arguing that proper basic treatment and immune boosting drugs that can be of help to the patients were generally lacking, she concluded that only “international help” could make them live a little longer. She lamented,
We are not fighting anybody. We are simply giving voice to the voiceless. Those people in isolation at the IDH cannot voice out these concerns. Let them have basic treatment. It shouldn’t be as if we just stood there and abandon them and watch them die one by one.“They are human beings. That female doctor is a patriotic Nigerian and she needs to be helped. You people (journalists) should go there and see the surroundings where they are being treated. You would wonder if these are human beings who still have relatives.“They are just being left on their own. Nobody is counselling them. They are just there as if they have been forgotten. We should remember that they didn’t ask to contract Ebola and it can happen to anybody. We are appealing for international help for these health workers.”
Spokesperson for the group of seven concerned family members and colleagues of the Ebola victims, Dr. Ladi Okuboyejo, stated that people including medical personnel deployed were now running away from the ailing victims. He insisted that the conditions under which the Ebola victims were being looked after was appalling.
    Okuboyejo, a medical practitioner, stated that there was a dearth of requisite drugs and basic medical supplies needed by the victims adding that the poor general sanitary condition of the isolation facility was despicable. He stated;
“If a health facility doesn’t have light, doesn’t have water and the sanitary system is not working properly then we have got a problem. Now the patients are critically ill and their condition is getting worse by day. People, including some medical personnel, are now running away from them.

“The reality is that the disease is beyond our capacity to handle in this country. The international community needs to rise up to our aid. The victims are not being properly treated. Forget that the Nigeria Medical Association is on strike, we cannot handle it.”
Another immediate family member of one of the patients, Deji Akinyanju, who declined to name his ailing relative, stated that the feedbacks he has got from the isolation centre showed that the Ebola victims’ health was fast deteriorating.
He alleged that the Nigerian physicians working with the American WHO expert were those with little or no experience in managing the highly contagious disease.

With a note of disappointment in his voice, Akinyanju, who said he had been visiting his critically ill relative at the IDH stated, that the WHO expert have also highlighted the need for more experienced hands to help salvage what remains of the health of the isolated health workers.
“There is a need for more medical personnel that will help look after them. Certain immune booster could also have been easily given to them. We are just concerned family members. But from what we have seen we think more can be done to help them.”

Patrick Sawyer Had Ebola Before Traveling – Wife + Liberian Minister Says He Owes No One An Apology Over Him

  • Late Patrick Sawyer’s wife has revealed her husband knew he had Ebola before travelling to Nigeria. Mrs Sawyer said he died it because he wanted a better medical attention in the country, knowing that Liberia was lacking in that. Here is what she wrote on her Facebook page after saying she has read a lot about what people call her husband’s ‘recklessness’ in the papers.
“I’ve read other reports in other papers (not the New York Times) about Patrick’s “recklessness.” I get where they’re coming from, and they certainly have the right
to feel the way they do. However, as Patrick’s widow, I would like to shed some light on this from another perspective. One that only I, his wife, would know,”
    she
    wrote. Continue below…
“I knew Patrick better than anybody else (including himself). He had told me many times in the past how much he didn’t trust the Liberian healthcare system.
He would tell me about how a person would get checked in for one thing, and get misdiagnosed and get the wrong treatment as a result. On top of that, Patrick was a clean freak, and told me how filthy a lot of the hospitals were.
“He didn’t tell me this, but I know in my heart of hearts that Patrick was determined to get to Nigeria by all means because he felt that Nigeria would be a place of refuge. He has expressed to me many times in the past that he felt passionately about helping to be a part of strengthening Liberia’s healthcare system, but he knew it wasn’t there yet, and he wouldn’t want to take a
chance with his life because a lot of people depended on him… Patrick had a passion for life, and he wouldn’t have wanted his to end. So, I bet anything that he was thinking, if I could only get to Nigeria, a way more
developed country than Liberia, I would be able to get some help. How ironic.”

In other news, Late Patrick Sawyer’s friend, Liberia’s deputy finance minister, Sebastian Omar, who cleared Patrick Sawyer to travel, defended himself against charges of incompetence for clearing Sawyer to travel
    to Nigeria for a conference.
He also said he owes no one any apology and why should he try to sop a health practitioner like Sawyer, who should know what is right.

Photo: Hostel cathes fire in unilag

  • Hostel Catches Fire In UNILAG 300x300 Photo: Hostel cathes fire in unilag
SEE MORE PHOTO AND VIDEO HEREFollowing the fire that broke out in a hostel in the College of Medicine, University of Lagos last week, some of students said they suffered heavy loses.
PUNCH Metro learnt that two rooms – 237 and 238 – in the Block II Hostel were engulfed by the fire, whose cause had yet to be known.
It was learnt that the fire started around 12.30pm on Monday when most students had gone to attend classes.
Our correspondent gathered that it took the intervention of some students in the neighbouring rooms to put out the flame before operatives of the state fire service surfaced.
During a visit to the hostel,PUNCH Metro observed that one of the rooms was locked while the other room was full of remnants of burnt clothes, trolley and books.
Two of the victims who spoke with our correspondent said they lost items ranging from certificates, textbooks and clothes to money and laboratory items.
One of them, Abdullahi Abdulrasaq, said “My primary and secondary school certificates, clothes, textbooks and a sum of N4,000 were burnt.
I was receiving a lecture when the incident happened.”
Another victim, Femi Raphael, said if not for his friends, all his documents would have been completely razed.
He said, “My friends who were around helped me to recover my bag where my clothes and other documents were packed.
My certificates were almost burnt; all my clothes and books in the room also got spoilt.”
A student, who pleaded anonymity, said the fire was caused by an electric surge.
“It was the poor state of electric connections in some rooms that sparked off the fire. Some students do the wiring themselves, while some seek the service of electricians who will not use quality materials,” he said.
The College Secretary, Mr. Azeez Oladejo, said a committee had been constituted to investigate the cause of the fire, adding that the affected students had been relocated to other rooms in the hostel.
“ Two rooms were affected, but the occupants have been moved to stay with their colleagues for the time being. The report of the committee will be out in two weeks’ time. Meanwhile, we thank God that no life was lost,” he said.
