Lasu might be shutdown by NUC

The Lagos State University is on a great risk since lecturer have seized to resume and normal academic activity have stopped for almost a year, which will be completed this July, 2014.
According to the Mandates of the National Universities Commission , NUC will soon have a visit to the university to know how the academic activities of the university is going, how ever, it had been in existence that a university which are not having a serious academic activity for a long time can be shutdown for a long time and all students will be on recess pending the time they decide to open the university.
The Lagos State University at 1991 was shutdown once before for a period of 18 months, this shutdown was titled "1991 - LASU shut for 18 months: aftermath of ASUIJ strike, sack of progressive lecturers and expulsion of some Students' activists" however, this might occur again since the university lecturers had refused to resume.
we therefore are pleading our lecturers to resume academic activity shortly for we cannot bear to look such much all in the name of strike.
Not only ASUU-Lasu are on strike, SANU - Lasu are also on strike which serves as a compitent reason for the shutdown.
