Yesterday, we reported that Boko Haram kidnapped two respected traditional rulers in Borno State – the Emir of Gwoza, Idrisa Timta and the Emir of Uba, Ismaila Mamza. In case you missed the story, you can read it HERE.
However, it has been reported that The Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta (pictured above on white) later died after as a result of the attack.
Both Emir's were actually on the way to attend the burial of the late Emir of Gombe when they were ambushed by gunmen and our sources have confirmed to us that late Emir Tima died of heart attack while scampering into the bush after the alleged Boko Haram gunmen had fired several gunshots at their vehicle which forced them to stop.
The younger Emir (pictured above on blue) was lucky to have escaped while most of their cars in the convoy were set ablaze.
